Our partners provide services to address common issues hostages and families face.
The challenges faced by Hostage US beneficiaries are vast. Families may struggle financially if an employer halts salary payments or cuts off benefits, or there’s no power of attorney allowing relatives to make crucial decisions on behalf of their loved one. When these burdens are piled on top of an already dire situation, it’s easy to understand how a breaking point is inevitable.
Hostage US works with partners who provide their services free of charge to address these challenges so that families and returned captives are fully supported. Our team of trained volunteers and staff work together to assess each unique situation and, when appropriate, request assistance from a professional service providers.
“I quickly found how gratifying it is to make a difference for people who have endured what seems to me to be an almost unimaginable experience. I’ve always taken my personal liberties for granted, and I realize I’ve been fortunate to be in that position. I’ve also never been scared for the physical well-being of a family member, which must be terrifying. Any small comfort I can bring to anyone who has experienced that is well worth the time it takes.”
